_HTML Color Codes
The interface here is so user-friendly, and more than hex codes are offered here. It's kind of fun to browse through the pages. You'll find a host of other resources, including high quality free stock image websites, tutorials, and generators.
A considerably large cache of html symbols, characters and their codes.
_Color Picker online
No photoshop? No problem, you can still code up a color-fluid layout with this online color picker!! :o
_Ascii Code Chart
One of my go-to caches for ascii codes. Simple, but a nice little library.
Free stock images! All of these are high quality, and there are SO many to choose from. This is probably my favorite resource, period.
Adding a favicon to your website
What is a favicon? According to the dictionary, it is "an icon associated with a URL that is variously displayed, as in a browser's address bar or next to the site name in a bookmark list."
Using a favicon is a thoughtful detail to add to any website you build. They give a professional appearance and helps iterate your brand.
Let's start by selecting/creating your icon. Create your icon at 16x16 pixels, but no larger than 32x32 pixels if using the following generator.
Now let's get ready by adding a new folder to your dashboard. Name it: IMAGES.
Open (and bookmark) this page: Favicon & App Icon Generator and upload your desired favicon image. This is my favorite favicon generator out there.
Click "Create Favicon" and follow the instructions. It will include the code that you need to add to your < h e a d > section in your HTML document.
Upload the downloaded images to your "IMAGES" folder and edit the URLs in the provided link stylesheets as needed.
